So today i picked up an aquanano 30.

i am going to use sand, siporax and water from the main display and set this up in my daughters bedroom as a zoa garden.

it came with an LED light, heater and a return pump. But don't be surprised if i swap these out.

i need to get hold of a skimmer that will fit in the rear chamber.

photos to follow tomorrow when my daughter is at school

Rob,

the 75mm x 75mm dimensions - are they the measurements for the square at the top?

if so, does that sit above the chamber or does it have to fit in the chamber

Yes that's the dimensions of the square.
And it sits on the rim at the top of the chamber on the tmc tank so level with the top of the tank.

The cylinder is 65mm but it has an elbow that sticks out that the airline attaches to so that needs 75mm
You could turn this to the corner but then the square won't sit square on the top of the chamber.

filled the tank up to water test - all seems ok but not sure the pump is very powerful.

Also, I didn't realise but the LEDs are whites only. While this isn't an issue for the zoas i'm going to keep in it, without blues I won't get the fluorescence.

So i may be pimping this ride a bit more than i expected to
