Bought and set up the d&d jump guard a couple of months back and gotta say I am impressed.

Solid build and whilst fitting the netting onto the frame was a pain it looks a lot better than I thought. Has a low profile and although there were a couple of cut out gaps for Ecotech RSM I have extended the netting to cover them.

One added bonus is that I have my hands out of the tank more which must be good for water quality and less stress on the fish.

tank has been relatively untouched since setting up but corals have taken over and the flow in tank is not as good as it once was.

Gonna clear some rock and corals. Yes I have said that before, so yesterday I removed a piece of rock and coral that must be about 15 inches high and 7 to 8 inches wide. I have fragged all of the colonies and are now sitting in the frag tank.

This is before

8dc40f64652cde89d38aef8da07202ae.jpg

And this is after

0201158e1164548c8a471d3f855566f8.jpg

Now need to clear the sand bed as lots of dead frags and also to the left of the rock is a pocillopora damicornis which has grown out of nowhere and whilst that is great it is not wanted. The before photo was taken on 16th November and in a month the top section has grown rapidly. Cannot believe it.

Stumbled across this photo earlier today of probably my favourite ever coral.

This was taken about 2 years ago and since then it almost perished but rescued 2 heads that are now 5 so only another couple of years to get it back to this beauty.

Not a lot happening with tank as ticking over nicely.

Fish are nice and healthy and the 4 peacock wrasse have grown and coloured up well.

This is one of my favourites though and eats frozen too

I have however picked up some nice frags though that cost me a few pennies -

Beach bum
Tropic thunder
Gold rush and
A very small red Goni

Will place onto rocks once settled

Have 19 fish and have more than enough room and bioload for probably another 10ish but undecided in what to add, no rush though

Fragged my bubble coral a month ago and then saw a pic of when I first got it, about 4 years ago.

Frag when I 1st bought it

Colony last night

Fragged from a colony a month ago

Definitely a slow grower as not fragged before but nothing beats growing out a frag over time into something substantially bigger.

Need to frag a few more pieces as tentacles are now extending into other corals and it is bloody aggressive

Hi bud are selling any of the frags of the bubble coral?

Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

I am going to frags some pieces at weekend and then let them rest for a couple of weeks to ensure they plump up and tentacles extend for feeding.

Will let you know when ready

I have a bubble coral frag cut and settled for last 3 weeks or so. Nice and plump with tentacles extending to feed so would say it is ready

Are you still interested?

A few shots of tank under blues.

The tank will be 4 years old next month and i am really happy with how it has remained stable and still getting good growth and colour across most corals

dae463606122c6474f47c769f5c83f03.jpg

Mind you it definitely needs a trim as a few are too big and starting to restrict flow from end to end

Was able to get some nice shots of a few corals starting to pop under blues
